Dear BASL members,
We hope you and your family are doing well during this difficult time.
The impact of the course of SARS-COV-2 infection on the patients with pre-existing liver disease is not clear. However, patients with advanced liver disease and liver transplant recipients represent vulnerable patients cohorts.
We will try to keep you up to date with recent guidelines and recommendations for dealing with our patients with chronic liver diseases. A general recommendation also for us a hepatologist, use telemedicine whenever possible. In patients with autoimmune liver disease and liver transplant, do not reduce immuunsuppressive therapy whenever no problems.
If there are any questions, please contact us (basl@basl.be)
We hope to see you all again at the end of this year during our Winter Meeting 4th and 5th December at a new location in Mons.
Sincerely yours,
Anja Geerts and Sergio Negrin-Dastis
